The latest version of the Capture software is 1.4.2. This is the recommended version and is required for newly bought Macs or Macs running MacOS Ventura (13.x.x) and above (Please note that Sonoma 14.x.x is only reccomended if your macbook came with that OS preinstalled). A changelog.md file is included in the download, with details of new features and fixes. If you have github acces, the full release files can be viewed [here (link)](https://github.com/ordrecom/orb-v2/releases/tag/v1.4.0).

Please not that 1.4.1 does not include a splash screen, and may take a few minutes to start on first use.

Ensure that your MacOS version is either on Monterey (12.x.x) or Ventura 13.3.x and above.

(Camera connection will not be possible on 13.0.0-13.2.0)

Only upgrade to Sonoma (14.x.x) if directed to do so by the engineering team, as Sonoma is as yet unstable compared to Ventura.\
To find your OS version click the Apple logo on the top left corner and open "About This Mac"

If installing over a previous version, ensure that EDSDK.framework is replaced with the new version included in the 1.4.2 zip file.

Make sure you also create the "TestShots" folder on the desktop, this is missing from the video

Open the zip file you have been provided with (Orb360-vX.X.X numbers depend on release)

You should be able to see the following files:

1. App installation file (ending with .dmg)
2. CameraControl executable file
3. EDSDK.framework
4. ReadMe file with these same instructions

Note the software is already installed on the machine. All you need to do is delete the old app then install the latest version, step 1, then skip to step 5 to ensure the new app has permission to open

#### 1. Run the installation dmg file (Orb360 Capture-x.x.x.dmg) and follow the on-screen instructions

#### 2. Copy the CameraControl executable into the Applications folder on Mac

#### 3. Move EDSDK.framework into Library/Frameworks

1. Switch to the Finder application
2. From the Go menu, select ***Go to folder...*** and enter ***/Library/Frameworks***
3. Copy the EDSDK.framework folder into this location

#### 4. Create a "TestShots" folder on the Desktop if it does not exist already

#### 5. Allow Mac to run Orb360, CameraControl, and EDSDK.framework applications

You can do this by navigating to Mac -> SystemPreferences -> Security & Privacy and in the General tab, you should see which app is requesting permissions and allow it.
